The President

On the Day of Independence in June 1991, after the official celebration, the then President Milan Kucan attended the celebrations of employees in Cankarjev dom. At that time I was introduced to him. Then we had a ten-day war for independence. I was a member of the civil protection and I spent most of the time in the lower part of Cankarjev Dom, where were held the famous press conferences on the war in Slovenia. Later on we had with the President several short meetings and we exchanged a few words. Even today, we sincerely greet each other when we met and had a little talk. Another memory of my work in Cankarjev dom.
